The Co-Founders Notebook - Inspire with heart

Currently on the train into London, the sun is shining, and you can easily pick out those on their way to the office, and those attending Wimbledon.

I’m off to do my “charitable” bit. I’m a trustee. And when I was first offered the opportunity, I was in two minds. Plenty of doubt flowing through my head. Will I be able to contribute? What do I know about being a trustee? Will they even want me?

But I have to say, it’s been an eye opener (in a good way). Seeing how many people are willing to give up their time to support just one charity, makes you feel all warm inside.

And to think how many Charities there are out there, all with boards of Trustees, giving up their valuable time. People giving without expecting anything in return. In a world that portrays so much hate at times, behind the scenes, there really is lots of good in the world.

So, if you have some time to spare, and want to give back, I can almost guarantee you’ll find a charity that would love to have you on board. To provide expertise, knowledge, support to a worthwhile cause.

Honestly, It’s something that’s never crossed my mind. Now, it’s something I will always ensure is on my LinkedIn profile… “Trustee at….”

As a trustee, you hold not just the charity’s future in your hands, but the hope of every life it touches.

Lead with purpose, guard with integrity, and inspire with heart.

Until next time,
