The Co-Founders Notebook - Christmas Is Upon Us
Sipping on the usual flat white in the centre of my local town of Warwick, I find myself surrounded by flashing lights and baubles, with the faint melody of Shane MacGowan’s Fairytale of New York in the background. And like most of us wondering how Christmas is now upon us!
I find Christmas a strange time. I love the quietness it brings on the day itself when everyone has nowhere to be. The office is forgotten about. Shops are shut. It’s nice.
Most accountants would call this period “the clam before the storm”, mainly due to the personal tax onslaught approaching them with the filing deadline being the end of January.
But before we start a period of reflection, we still have over a month left to go. A month to plan for 2026, engage with new businesses and ensure our clients deliver strong results in the final month of the calendar year.
So, as the Christmas season approaches, it reminds us that the year’s greatest opportunities often arrive wrapped in new beginnings. Let’s finish strong and step forward with purpose.
Until next time,
